Heroin Addiction -
Nobel prize
winner, Gabriel Garcia Marquez once liken being in love with
being possess by a demon. The same concept or idea also follows
Heroin Addiction. When a person is addicted to heroin, they
didn't know what they're doing and most of the time, they are
not themselves. They don't have control over their bodies or
rather their selves like a demon is possessing them. Heroin
addiction can lead a person to commit violent and criminal acts.
In fact, most criminals are also drug users and that they
committed the crimes, when they are high on drugs. Domestic
violence is also the outcome of addiction to heroin. Many family
members became the victims of a heroin addict.
Recently,
heroin users prefer to sniff or smoke the drug rather than
injecting it. Heroin came from poppy plants, which are usually
located in Asia and South America. Heroin Addiction can cause
miscarriages and abortion for pregnant women and a series of
grave health diseases including death.
Heroin
targets the central nervous system and by doing so affects the
mental functions. Heroin Addiction enables the person not to
feel any pain at all because it gives a wrong sensation of
pleasure. Prolonged use of heroin will eventually lead to Heroin
Addiction. When this happens, the person would start looking for
the heroin inside his body. For this reason, the withdrawal
stage of treating addiction is very tedious and difficult for
the person. Withdrawal stage also includes symptoms since the
body is adjusting from less heroin in the body. Heroin Addiction
is a dominant problem today that needs to be taken care of. |
